The VTHS Difference

Our mission at Valley Torah High School is to provide an excellent Torah and College Preparatory program that inspires our students to lead lives dedicated to Torah values, the pursuit of higher education and personal growth, resulting in a successful interface with an ever changing world.

To make our ambitions a reality, the VTHS staff is passionately dedicated to developing deep, caring relationships that inspire a true love of learning, leadership and Judaism. Valley Torah Rebbeim and teachers give individual focus to the social, emotional, religious and academic needs of each student, adapting curricula and lessons to maximize your child’s chance of success.

VTHS is the only independent college preparatory yeshiva high school in North Hollywood and the Greater San Fernando Valley. We embrace this responsibility to serve our community and the larger Los Angeles area. Our rigorous, globally inspired dual yeshiva and college preparatory curriculum readies students for challenges both in and out of the classroom. The educational experience is further enriched by the myriad of co-curricular programs found here. Students will fortify their identities as independent young men through athletics, independent projects, Mishmar, service learning, onegs, in-depth intraterm classes, shabbatonim, educational trips, or any of our wide array of clubs ranging from robotics and debate to skateboarding and improv comedy. At Valley Torah each student can create a learning experience that is uniquely theirs while building a strong sense of community, leadership and brotherhood together.

Operating on the principle that emotional and spiritual stability is a requisite for academic success, students start each day at VTHS with Davening led by our inspirational and charismatic dean Rabbi Avrohom Stulberger. Here students are equipped with the spiritual tools and wisdom needed to strengthen character and encourage ethical decision making. Both the Rebbeim and General Studies faculty guide students in confronting problems and setting positive, proactive examples — challenging students to be their best in their studies and in every aspect of their lives. This is further enhanced, as a Leader In Me School, through our strategic curriculum integration of leadership skill development. Through celebrating individual achievements and supporting each other’s struggles we have established a caring community of engaged learners that supports the greatness in one through the strength of many.

Few other schools are so supportive. Very few other schools offer the independence, small class size, invested faculty and welcoming community found at Valley Torah. On the shoulders of many, each individual can stand tall and learn more on their way to building a LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP.
